About MatchVet

What is MatchVet?

MatchVet is Pakistan's first veterinary marketplace where pet owners post what their pet needs and their budget, and verified vets respond with competing offers. You compare offers by price, rating, and experience, book a home visit or clinic appointment, and pay cash on delivery. It launched in Lahore, with 50+ verified vets and partner clinics and a 4.9-star average rating from completed bookings.

Is MatchVet free to use?

Yes — posting a request and receiving offers is completely free for pet owners. You only pay the vet's offer price you accepted, in cash, after the service. There are no booking fees or hidden charges.

Which cities does MatchVet serve?

MatchVet currently serves Lahore, with 50+ verified vets and partner clinics across areas including DHA, Johar Town, Model Town, Gulberg, and Bahria Town. Gujranwala is next, with 13+ clinics already in the onboarding pipeline.

How fast do offers arrive?

Offers usually arrive within the hour of posting a request. Each offer includes the vet's price, available time, and a note, plus their verified profile and rating, so you can decide quickly.

How does MatchVet verify vets?

Every vet and clinic is credential-checked before they can send offers on the platform, and every completed visit is rated by the pet owner. Vets with poor ratings lose visibility — the incentive structure rewards good care, not just low prices.

Pet health basics for Pakistan

What is the cat vaccination schedule in Pakistan?

Kittens: core FVRCP-type vaccine at 6–8 weeks, boosters every 3–4 weeks until ~16 weeks (usually 2–3 shots), rabies at 12–16 weeks, then boosters as your vet advises (commonly yearly in Pakistan). Adult cats with unknown history get a primary shot, a booster after 3–4 weeks, and rabies. Your vet may adjust for your cat's health and exposure — MatchVet saves each shot and due date in your pet's record.

What is the dog vaccination schedule in Pakistan?

Puppies: core 5-in-1 (distemper, hepatitis, parvo, parainfluenza, lepto) at 6–8 weeks, boosters every 3–4 weeks until 14–16 weeks, rabies at 12–16 weeks, then boosters as advised (commonly yearly in Pakistan, especially for parvo/distemper risk). Adult dogs with unknown history: primary shot + booster + rabies. Ask the vet to quote the full puppy series, not just one shot.

My cat is not eating — what should I do?

Remove stress, offer strong-smelling wet food, and watch closely. If a cat eats nothing for 24 hours (12 for kittens), or refuses food alongside vomiting, lethargy, or hiding, it needs a vet the same day — prolonged fasting in cats can cause dangerous liver complications. A home visit avoids adding carrier stress to a sick cat.

What counts as a pet emergency?

Breathing difficulty, suspected poisoning, trauma (falls, road accidents), seizures, bloated or hard abdomen, straining without urinating, pale gums, or collapse. For these, go directly to a 24/7 animal hospital — do not wait for offers. For everything short of that, posting on MatchVet gets you a verified vet quickly.

How often should I deworm my cat or dog?

Commonly: kittens and puppies every 2–4 weeks until 12 weeks, then monthly to 6 months, then every 3 months for adults — adjusted for outdoor access and parasite exposure, which are high in Pakistan. Your vet will weigh your pet and dose accordingly; MatchVet records each deworming and the next due date.
